Why can’t I pull the RKCOND17HD LCD console far enough out of my server rack to use it?
It depends on the server rack configuration. The RKCOND17HD provides 1 inch (25.4 mm) of clearance between the back of the opened display and the front rack-mounting brackets. Recessed mounting rails, protruding rack equipment, or a rack cabinet overhang can prevent the LCD console from extending far enough for normal operation. Explanation: The RKCOND17HD uses a compact design with 1 inch (25.4 mm) of clearance between the back of the display when opened and the front mounting brackets. Clearance issues can occur when: The server rack's front mounting rails are recessed more than 1 inch (25.4 mm) inside the cabinet. Equipment installed above the RKCOND17HD protrudes more than 1 inch (25.4 mm) beyond the front mounting rails. The server rack has a front overhang, such as one designed for a front door. This can be particularly restrictive when the LCD console is installed near the top of the rack. Review the rack dimensions and surrounding equipment clearances before installing the RKCOND17HD. In some installations, the StarTech.com RDA1U 1U 4-inch Server Rack Depth Extender can provide additional clearance. The RKCONS17HD uses a different design and may be a better option when additional clearance is required.
