Electronic Fluorescent Ballasts

Electronic fluorescent ballasts replace burnt-out electronic or magnetic ballasts in fluorescent lighting fixtures. They are more energy efficient than magnetic ballasts and do not hum or cause lights to flicker. Electronic ballasts protect from damaging power fluctuations that affect the lamp's output quality. They provide an initial voltage spike to turn on the lamps, then regulate the voltage and current and protect them from power fluctuations. Replacement ballasts should have the same voltage and start type as the old ballast, fit into the fixture, and be able to power the number and type of lamps used in the fixture.
