What is the difference between a straight-through serial cable and a null modem serial cable?
A straight-through serial cable connects a DTE device to a DCE device, while a null modem serial cable connects two DTE devices directly. Explanation: A straight-through serial cable is used to connect a Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) device, such as a computer, to a Data Communications Equipment (DCE) device, such as a modem.
